If you are looking for information from a specific site, type in “site:” and the website’s URL.
Want a resource from an academic site but don’t know which specific one to search? Type in your search terms and then site:.edu to generare results that are from educational websites.
Need information from agovernement website but not quite sure of the exact URL? Type in your search terms plus site:.gov to only reveice results from the government.
This same trick also works with any other domain!

The PTC is offering a special tutoring model for physics this summer… sometimes called “supplemental instruction,” our Physics I tutor sits in on the lecture and then is available for two hours after the class session to go over the homework, explain concepts and answer any and all questions students may have. Tutoring takes place right in the classroom, so no need to even leave the room to get all the help you need! For Physics II, the tutor comes to the classroom after class for two hours as well to assist you with all your questions!So far, we have seen a good number of physics students taking advantage of this special arrangement. In addition to this tutoring model, the PTC also offers midterm and final review sessions, complete with a mock exam, during the summer.Tutoring hours are as follows:PH1004: JAB 473 Monday and Wednesday 12-2PH2004: JAB674 Monday and Wednesday 12-2Questions? The PTC is proud to congratulate two of its outstanding tutors, Kartik Arora and Nahida Sultana, on receiving the John J. Dropkin Award for 2008. The John J. Dropkin award is given in memory of John J. Dropkin, who chaired the physics department, then served the students of Poly by establishing math and science tutoring services. The award recognizes peer tutors of the PTC who continue this tradition by helping their fellow students gain mastery in mathematics and sciences.
From all of us, thank you for your outstanding committment to knowledge and to the PTC! All the best in your future endeavors!
In response to student requests, the PTC is now offering a series of study
sessions for BMS2004 on Mondays from 1:00-3:00 in JAB373. They are facilitated by a grad student with the help of one of the students currently taking the class and are a great, informal way to get your study on!
No appointment necessary!
